The Clippers kicked off and the Timberwolves moved the ball up the field and then turned it over on a a fumble which bounced back deep into their end.  The Cooke Clippers quickly capitalized on the turnover when Dave Arsenault rushed in from the red zone to score the first touchdown of the day.  The PAT was good and
the Clippers are up 7-0

The Timberwolves second possession went nowhere and it was punted back to the Clippers where QB Matt Rice caught Alex Lutes in the end zone for a second TD.  The PAT was good and the Clippers are up 14-0

Chris Barrett returned the kick to mid-field and the Timberwolves Offense steadily moved the ball down the field until Cody Keenen drove it over the line to put the T-Wolves on the score board.  Phillip Lanthier made the PAT and the First Quarter finished up at 14 - 7 for the Cooke Clippers.

The first play of the second quarter is a pass interception by Phillip Lanthier of the Timberwolves and the second play is an interception by Clipper Alex Lutes.  Three plays later and Daniel Good recovers a fumble and the Timberwolves put their O-Line back on the field.  On the third down Clipper Cody MacKay got through and sacked Timberwolves' QB Tyler Proude, who suffered an injured wrist.

On their next possession the Pat LeFrank repeatedly gained ground for the Clippers and then at the 15 Yard Line Matt Rice again connected with Alex Lutes for a TD.  The kick was wide and the score is 20-7 Clippers.

Chris Barrett returns the ball to the Clippers' 50 and in four downs the Timberwolves turn the ball over to the Clippers who 4 downs later had to punt it to the T-Wolves.  Alex Works intercepts a Timberwolves pass on his own 20 yard line 2 plays later Alex Mutch catches a fumble and the ball is back to the Timberwolves.  The T-Wolves move the ball down the field and QB Phillip Lanthier hits Chris Dowbiggin in the corner of the end-zone for a TD. Lanthier kicked the PAT and the score is 20-14 Clippers.

The kick was recovered by the T-Wolves and Cody Keenan carried a pass to the 30 yard line, where Lanthier boots it through the uprights for a Field goal in the last play of the Half.  At Half Time the score is 20-17 Clippers.

Second Half:

After a bit of back and forth most of it deep in the Clippers end, Timberwolves QB Phillip Lanthier hits Ryan Walker in the end-zone to move the Timberwolves into the lead for the first time in the game.  A 2 point conversion attempt failed.  Score 23-20 for the Timberwolves.

The Clippers were making little progress and punted on their 4th down.  Dakota Dawson recovered the punt for the Clippers and they had another possession but had to punt it again.  Cody Keenan carried the ball from the T-Wolves 20 to mid-field and with repeated carries got as far as the Clippers 20 yard line by the end of the 3rd quarter.  Score 23 - 20 for the Timberwolves.

On their first possession in the fourth, that great Rice/Lutes combination struck again with Matt Rice passing behind the Timberwolves Defense to Alex Lutes who ran it in for his third TD of the game. The kick was blocked and the Clippers moved back into the lead 26 - 23.

Lanthier and Keenan worked the ball up field to the 5, where a hand-off to Brad Gaudet put the ball over the goal line.  The kick was good and the score is 26 -30 for the Timberwolves.

The Clippers worked the ball down the field and Dave Arsenault rushed in over the goal line for his second TD of the day.  A 2 point conversion was attempted by Alex Lutes, but Havier Rodriguez read the play and made the tackle. Score is 32 - 30 for the Clippers with 3:42 left in the game.

The Timberwolves respond by moving the ball up the field to the 25 where they caught a 10 yard penalty.  Behind by 2 points, on the 4th down with 30 seconds left in the game, Phillip Lanthier attempts a field Goal from the 35 and comes up short.  Pat LeFrank catches the kick and returns it to the 45 where he is tackled by Lanthier. The Timberwolves hold them there and they punt on the 4th down.  With just seconds left in the game the Timberwolves regain control of the ball.  Lanthier fails to hit a receiver and the game is over.

The Summerside Cooke Insurance Clippers are victorious.  They were presented with the Lobster Bowl trophy by League Vice-President.

League Officals named Phillip Lanthier and Dakota Dawson as the "Players of the Game" and they were presented with prizes supplied by League Sponsor Bell/Aliant.
