The Souris WildCats win the potato bowl by defeating the Cornwall TimberWolves 36-21 at the UPEI Turf field. There was a huge turn in anticipation of seeing a great game and that is what both teams delivered.
1st Quarter: Wildcats open the scoring first with #19 Tyler Gallant on a 20 yard TD run, convert kicked by #88 Drew McInnis, good.
Wolves answer with #25 Ernesto Carranza running in from the right side. Convert made by #18 Jeff Trowsdale.

2nd Quarter: Late in the second quarter Wildcats caught the Wolves sleeping, #29 Logan Sauve punted the ball and then was able to recover it the Wolves receivers were letting the clock run down. WildCats took over on the Wolves 20 yard line with 1:40 left in the 2nd half. It was Logan Sauve that on a 5 yard TD run gave the WildCats the lead back once again. 3rd Quarter: Early in the 3rd quarter, Seth Currie on a reverse was able to run in the tieing TD for the Wolves. Convert was made by Jeff Trowsdale. Score Tied 14-14.
Before the end of the 3rd quarter, WildCats QB, Ben MacIssac through TD pass to his favorite receiver #88 Drew McInnis, convert was kicked by Drew McInnis.
End of 3rd Quarter Score 21-14 WildCats over the Wolves.
4th Quarter: Tyler Gallant on his second rushing TD put the game away for the WildCats. Convert made by Drew McInnis. WildCats lead 28-14.
With a good wind to the WildCats back #88 Drew McInnis kickoff went into the enzone and wolves conceded to the one point. WildCats lead 29-14 with 6 min left in the game.
The WildCats score the final TD with #54 Jeremiah Lancois running it in. Convert missing. Score 35-14
With little time left Wolves do score another TD, Jeremy Avery through TD pass to Seth Currie for his second TD of the day. Jeff Trowsdale made the convert. Score 35-21.
Wolves attempt the onside kick and got the ball back. Time expires.

This was a game of the WildCats running game lead by Tyler Gallant and Logan Sauve. When it was not one of those two, it was #7 Johnathan Gallant. The Wildcats had the most balanced offense in the league. They could beat you on the ground or when needed Ben McIssac would go to the air with success. It was very difficult for teams to defense against thus the reason the Wild Cats were undefeated this year.
The Wolves came up with some great defensive plays lead by #99 Derek Smith as well #57 Javier Rodrguez which kept the Wolves in the game.
