Wildcats extend winning streak : 42-2

The Souris Wildcats open the scoring with a 1 yard plunge by starting quarterback Graeme Forrest against a badly undermanned Clippers team.  Point after by Drew MacInnis was good.  The Souris defense remained strong and held the Clippers down throughout the game.  A spectacular sideline gallop by Jonathan Gallant added to the Souris lead, the convert was no good, however on the ensuing kickoff MacInnis drove the kickoff into the end zone for a 1 pt touchback.  The Clippers defense stayed strong, after turning the ball over on the Souris 3 yard line the defense tackled the Souris runner in the end zone for a 2 point convert.  Score 15-2 Souris at halftime.

In the second half Tyler Gallant asserted himself with a 45 yard touchdown run, followed up by a 60 yard punt return TD.  Both converts were good.  Gallant then completed the afternoon with a 30 yard interception return TD, convert was no good.  The Wildcat defense kept the short bench of the Clippers on their heels throughout the rest of the game, after being pushed back to their own 4 yard line the Clippers punter kneeled in the endzone to concede 2 point.  Jonathan Gallant then capped off the scoring with a 12 yard touchdown run, extra point was good.  The Wildcats bring their record to 4-0 with the victory while a courageous Clippers squad continues to look for their first victory sitting at 0-4.
