On Sunday at the Rollo Bay Field, the Souris WildCats defeat the Cornwall TimberWolves in a thriller 23-21 to remain unbeaten 3-0.

 

1st Quarter: 7-0 WildCats WildCats open the scoring with #29, Logan Sauve scoring the first TD, convert was made by Drew McInnis.

 

2nd Quarter: TimberWolves #35, Aaron Ellis, on a 3 yard TD run scored their 1st major of the game with the convert being made by #17 Jeremy Avery.

 

WildCats answer with #3, Paul McDonald pushing in WildCats 2nd TD from 5 yards out with convert made by #88 Drew McInnis to take the lead once again, 14-7.

 

The Timberwolves not to be outdone, march back just before the half and tie the game 14-14 with Wolves QB, #8, Joe Revell, on a bootleg run around the right side scoring his first running TD of the year. Convert made by #17 Jeremy Avery.

4th Quarter:

 

Wolves #35, Aaron Ellis, scored his second running TD of the day with #17 Avery making the convert, Wolves take the lead 21-14. The Wolves look to be in control of the game until WildCats QB, Ben McIssac went to the air, hitting his favorite receiver, #88 Drew McInnis for a 40 yard pass play. Shortly later #3, Paul MacDonald, scored his second running TD of the day brings the WildCats to within one. Convert was blocked & Wolves lead 21-20 with 6:20 left in the game.

 

With 1:45 left in the game, Wolves punter, #17 Jeremy Avery punts the ball to WildCats 5 yard line. WildCats #7, Jonathan Gallant made a great return & set the stage for the WildCats come back. Jonathan Gallant returned the punt all the way to the Wolves 35 yard line with 36 seconds left. Once Again, WildCats QB, Ben McIsaac, completed 25 yard pass to #88 Drew McInnis. WildCats now on Wolves 10 yard line with 16.2 sec left in game. WildCats brings on the field goal team, snap good, #88 Drew McInnis, kicked the game winning field goal with only 12 seconds left in the game.
