Wolves 32 Wildcats 12.
The Wolves offensive and defensive lines dominated this game from start to finish, the offensive line made huge holes, making the running game look easy and the defensive line shut down any offense the Wildcats tried to muster. Leading the defensive charge was Derek Smith making numerous tackles in the WildCats back field & a fumble recovery along with an Interception by Marshall Vuozzo in Wolves end zone and some great open field tackles by David Cooke.
The Wolves lead 10-0 after the 1st quarter with Seth Currie running in TD from 13 yards out and Jeff Trousdale made convert along with 26 yard field goal.
Things did not change much in the second quarter, Ernie Carranza running in for TD from 10 yards with Trousdale kicking yet another convert and field goal. 1st half ended with Wolves up 20-0. Nick Jones, Wolves QB also ran a TD.
The WildCats were having difficulty handling the kickoffs thus getting poor field position most of the game making it difficult to sustain any real offensive drives against the very strong and larger Wolves defensive line. The 2nd half was not much better for the Wild Cats, game ends 32-12.
Denis Mahar for the WildCats continues with his strong play, running for the WildCats 1st TD as well as leading the way for the Wild’s QB, Ben McIsaac, to run in the second TD late in the 4th quarter. Both converts were missed.
