Timber Wolves dominate the Clippers

The Timber Wolves dominate the Cooke Insurance Clippers, 41-7.

This was the first game for the Clippers, so the nerves should in the 1st quarter. Once the nerves were in control so were the Clippers, moving the ball at will by both ground and air. With Rookie QB, Justin Murphy standing his ground against the might Wolves defense, he moved the ball but the Clippers twice could not punch the ball in from the 10 yard line.

The Clippers showed great promises and will only improve as the season moves along. They will be there at the end of the season, all they need is some real games and experience. On offense, Brock Lamers ran for the Clippers first TD from 12 yards. It look like Joey Dougay & Brock Lamers make a one two combination. On the defensive side, standout Dakota Dawson will be the center force of the Clippers defense, Dakota stood tall making tackles and rushing the QB. Other notables on defense was Charlie McCardle, Kurtis Wolfe & Evan Gallant.

The Timber Wolves scored by both the air and running game. Mattie Harris & Jeremy Avery each were scoring two TD’s, along with Seth Currie, and Ernie Carranza each producing one TD. Jeff Trousdale continues with a steady foot and was good for 5 out of 6 converts. The Defense of the Wolves also stood strong which twice stopped the Clippers on their own 10 yard line. Derek Smith picking up from last and continues to apply pressure on the Quarter Backs.

TimberWolves Rookie Quarter Back, Joseph Revell, got into the game mid way through the 3rd quarter. Joseph looks comfortable in the position, moving the Wolves down the field with the icing on the cake by through a TD pass to Jeremy Avery. Mike Hoy after three strong quarter of QB turned it over to Joseph.

The score does not indicate the play, the Clippers should leave with their heads held high, they did gain respect even with the loss.
